World Missions
World Missions The Western District of The ALJC is committed to the mandate given by Jesus to his disciples, that mandate is Missions. Acts 1:8 gives us the directive and the means to fulfill it. "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” The Holy Ghost infilling is the driving force that pushes the New Testament church to become witnesses of Jesus and his saving power.

As the disciples were commanded to witness in Jerusalem; we are commanded to witness in our local community. They were commanded to witness throughout Judea and we are commanded to witness throughout our state. Just as the disciples were commanded to witness everywhere they went in Samaria; we are commanded to witness everywhere we go in our nation. The commission was for the early church to propagate the message of salvation through the whole world. This commission remains for the 21st Century church; propagate this message, “unto the uttermost part of the earth”. World Missions is just that: “WORLD Missions”, the challenge is to broaden our scope of vision and to believe that the power of the Holy Ghost is for the World and not just our little corner of it.

The Western District of the ALJC invites you to join with us in fulfilling Christ’s mandate about missions by attending an ALJC church in your area and unite in the work to send The Gospel; “unto the uttermost part of the earth”.
