Robert E. Jones Jr, is the founder and lead Pastor of Turning Point Worship Center in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Since the launch of Turning Point in 2009 Pastor Jones has worked to fulfill his God given directive to reach North Las Vegas and the surrounding communities with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He has been a Minister with the Assemblies Of The Lord Jesus Christ (ALJC) for the past 10 years. In that time he has served the Western District of the ALJC as Apostolic Crusaders President and World Missions Director. For the last 6 years Robert has served on the District Board as Presbyter of Section 1.
Pastor Jones was elected by the Western District as Superintendent in 2019. He has a vision and burden to expand and grow the District. He is ready to build upon the firm foundation of Superintendents that have served before him. It is his desire to equip the churches and ministers of the Western District with all the necessary tools to fulfill Christ's great commission. He desires to join efforts with Apostolic ministries, from small rural communities to large metro cities to witness a great revival and harvest of souls.
Robert’s ministry began at the age of 16 when he preached his first sermon. He work in the local church in North Augusta, South Carolina under the leadership of Pastor C.L. O’Bryan. Following graduation he attended Jackson College of Ministries(JCM) and earned a Bachelors of Theology. He would later return to JCM as Dean of Students and classroom Instructor.
He has served in many churches across the country inwide ranging roles, from Youth Ministry to Pastor.
Pastor Jones is passionate about serving the Kingdom of God. He is a devoted husband to Laura Jones, his wife of 24 years. He has two children Garrett and Olivia, whom he cherishes. His family has worked and labored along side him and they have a deep love for the work of God. Pastor Jones and his family count it a high honor to serve the Western District, Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ and the ever expanding and growing Kingdom Of God.
